After a £4m redevelopment, Llys-y-Frân Lake has so much more to offer when it opens in late spring 2021*!
An expanded Visitor Centre and brand-new Outdoor Activity Centre and Waterside Cabin has been built to support walkers, cyclists and outdoor activity enthusiasts.
Llys-y-Frân is a very special place in the foothills of the Preseli Mountains. The reservoir was opened in 1972 to supply clean water to Pembrokeshire. The dam is a feat of engineering, but it has also preserved this landscape as a haven for nature and wildlife. The 350 acres of woodland, grassland and lake are perfect for walking, cycling and fishing – and a whole range of activities on land and water. Or you can just enjoy the peace and glorious views. A hub for health, wellbeing and recreation brought to you by Welsh Water.
Relax, refuel and take in the stunning views across the water from our Visitor Centre, complete with café, gift shop and multi-function room which is available for private hire. No visit will be complete without a visit to our café where you can enjoy a warming drink, slice of cake or hot meal from our seasonal menu. We showcase the very best of local Welsh produce. Our food is freshly prepared with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. We have plans for an interactive visitor experience which will be immersive, fun and educational. Watch this space.
